The Presbyterian Men’s
Group aims to promote serving, supporting, studying,
and social fellowshipping in our church and community
under the lordship of Christ. Men of all ages of the
church are considered members of this group which is
always open to new friends joining us in service and
fellowship.
Our Men’s Group
regularly conducts a community service
project of picking up litter along the hi-way. Service and support
are provided by our men when community assistance
agencies need help with the preparation or repair of
their facilities. “Work-days” at our church are held
periodically by the men for maintenance/repair of the
church’s buildings and grounds. “Work-mission”
trips also have been sponsored by the Men’s Group to
assist Presbyterian agencies, schools, or churches
outside of the Henry community.
During the Lenten
season, studying the Bible and spiritual
matters/issues are promoted by the Men’s Group through a “Breakfast
and Bible Study” series for men prior to the
worship service on Sundays
The Men’s Group
provides fellowship opportunities for the
men and boys of the church and their
friends, beginning in January with a “Soup
& Sandwich” supper followed by a rousing
game of “combat bingo” and ending in
December with a “wild-game” feast.
Other
social outings, to which the men invite
their wives and friends, include going to
baseball games and to theatrical/musical
programs.
Offering
opportunities to serve, to support, to study, and
to socialize with our brethren, ---that is the
Presbyterian Men’s Group,---always
remembering “that where two or three are gathered
together in Christ’s name, there He is in the
midst of them.”
Watch the Calendar for details of upcoming
events.
With Christ in prayer and mission
